Why documentary photography?
I’m a mother. I know what it’s like to feel lost in the overwhelming, chaotic, yet seemingly mundane tasks of raising children.
When you’re in it, it’s hard to notice the full impact of your efforts.
But when we can see images of our families, homes and meaningful spaces from the outside looking in, there’s a shift. We’re transported–body and soul– to that moment in time, and it all becomes clear.
Seeing beautiful photos of the ones we love in the places that we love them in is transformative. It's like taking in the majesty of the world we've built for the very first time.
Your family is perfect, just as they are. And you’ll never regret documenting this sweet life with them.

Documentary family photographer living on the Wasatch Front with my husband, three children, and smooth collie, Sampa.
I’m a lover of life and living in all its forms, and I carry this love with me into every session I shoot. Even in the midst of the wildness that it is to live, I've discovered a sense of reverence that accompanies me through my days. What an honor it is to live. What an honor it is to document that living.
It's this perspective that shapes every photo I take.
